Intro to using the WIDA ELDS     
Target Audience:
District ELL Coordinators, School administrators (K-12), All instructional staff working with ELLs (K-12) (including general ed teachers who teach classes containing any number of ELLs)

Abstract:

This workshop will provide an introduction to and detailed explanation of the WIDA amplified ELD Standards and their use for the instruction and assessment of ELLs in all classes. Topics to be covered include development, organizations, and components of he standards, WIDA ELP levels, academic language development and basic language acquisition theory, links between the ELDS and the common core, and using the standards to plan instruction.
