Abstract:

Assistive Technology for Teacher Assistants 

This course for TA’s uses a blended learning approach: laboratory class meetings with hands on learning as well as some online work. Teacher assistants learn how to use the technologies that are in use in classrooms now. Participants are required to attend ALL four lab classes and online homework.

Participants in the Project AT Teacher Assistants course will:

· Understand the SETT process.

· Learn how to use iPads, Chromebooks and AT to best support students.

· Practice using accessibility features and AT supports to be used in a school environment .

· Access resources to support appropriate use of AT.
