This four-day rigorous training (8:30am-3:30pm each day) will provide support and resources to help ensure that new evaluators can provide our state's educators with high quality evaluations and feedback. The focus of this training is to prepare personnel evaluating teachers and/or support professionals to accurately observe and rate practice, lead professional feedback conversations, set and approve student learning/outcome objectives, and engage with Educator Performance and Support System. All staff new to the Rhode Island Model and planning on evaluating teachers and/or support professionals in the 2015/16 school year are required to successfully complete this academy.
This four day session is from Monday, August 17th to Thursday, August 20th from 8:30am- 3:30 pm each day. It will be held in the conference room of the Coventry Administration Building at 1675 Flat River Road, Coventry. Lunch will be provided each day. Participants should bring a laptop, their 2015-16 guidebooks if they have already received them from their district, and their RIDEMap log-in information. All four days are required.
