Abstract:
We intend to provide training and guidance on the following topics:
- Simplifying Meal Benefit Eligibility and Verification (significant changes this year)
- The Smarter Lunchroom: hear national researcher, Kate Hoy, tell you how no/low cost environmental changes in the cafeteria can lead students to healthier choices
- New and revised USDA policies
- Common Review/Audit Findings (and how to avoid them)
- Smart Snacks, Competitive Foods, and Fundraising
- Hot Issues: Dealing with Allergies and Disabilities; and, What about those unpaid balances? How to deal with students with no money to pay for their meal?
