The second and final Rhode Island Career and Technical Education Information System (RICATS) training for the '04/ '05 school year will be held the week of September 13, 2005 to September 16, 2005. This training will be 'hands on' using the data submitted by your school. Consequently, participants should have submitted to the Department their completed course and student information Excel files. If this completed Excel file has not be submitted RIDE, it needs to be forwarded to us as soon as possible. In order to facilitate our planning, we are scheduling training by Career Technical regions. If for some reason the following dates and/or times are inconvenient please feel free to schedule a date and time during the open sessions. Training will be in the Department's computer lab and we have scheduled training dates as follows: Chariho & Newport regions Tuesday, September 13, 2005 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Cranston & Coventry regions Tuesday, September 13, 2005 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Davies & Woonsocket regions Wednesday, September 14, 2005 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. East Providence & Warwick regions Wednesday, September 14, 2005 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Providence & Metropolitan regions Thursday, September 15, 2005 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Open Session Thursday, September 15, 2005 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Open Session Friday, September 16, 2005 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Open Session Friday, September 16, 2005 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. We request each building principal or his/her designee and the individual responsible for imputing the data attend these training sessions to collect and disseminate this federally required information. In addition, C&T Directors should also attend the training session with their respective representatives. To schedule a training session, each participant must access the Department's eRIDE portal (http://www.eride.ri.gov) and click on Trainings/Workshops to register.
