3/19/2004  RIDE - the 'as-of-date' for generating the Spring Rosters  Dr. Ken Gu - SEA
You need to pay special attention to the 'as-of-date' as indicated in the instructions the Assessment Office sent to you in early Feb (the instructions are also downloadable with the data submission tool or simply click on Trainings/Workshops, then click on 'Reporting Spring Rosters'). If you used the wrong 'as-of-date', the enrollment counts will become inaccurate; this will ultimately affect the test participation rates and the number of students receiving zero scores. Simply put, if your schools did the RI Writing and Health Education in the Week of March 12th, run the rosters with an 'as-of-date' of March 12 for all grades except 4th, 8th and 11th. If your schools did the RI Writing and Health Education in the week of March 19th, run the rosters with an 'as-of-date' of March 19th for all grades except 4th, 8th and 11th. On or after March 26, run the rosters for 4th, 8th and 11th using the 'as-of-date' of March 26th! You may submit the rosters as they become ready. You do not need to wait until you have all of the grades to submit. The earlier you submit any data, the more likely you will time to catch any mistakes. The principals and superintendents do need to wait until all grades are reported for each school before they can sign off the rosters. Hope this helps, Dr. Ken Gu
