We will discuss any questions you have about the SY 12-13 collections as well as discuss a new discipline law that was just passed: “No school shall use a student’s truancy or absenteeism as the sole basis for using an out-of-school suspension as a disciplinary action.” Discipline data collection changes are outlined here: http://www.ride.ri.gov/dataworks/documents/Guidance2012-13DisciplineCollection.pdf. More in depth information will be sent out in the Commissioner’s memo on Friday.
