Academy for New Teacher Evaluators
Target Audience:
Personnel evaluating teachers that did not complete the Academy in the summer of 2012
Abstract:
Three-day rigorous training (8:30-3:30 each day for 3 consecutive Thursdsay sessions) seeking to prepare personnel evaluating teachers to accurately observe and rate practice, lead professional feedback conversations, set and approve Student Learning Objectives, and engage with the Educator Performance and Support System.
All staff that are
new to the Rhode Island Model
and
plan on evaluating teachers
in the 2013-2014 SY is required to successfully complete the Academy.
FURTHER INFORMATION:
The Academy will require participants to bring a computer with wireless connectivity capability.
Lunch will not be provided, but participants can bring their own lunch or leave to get lunch during the break.
