Workshop for Per Eval Teachers (RI Model)- North

Target Audience:
All personnel that evaluate teachers using the Rhode Island Model

Abstract:
This consecutive 1.5 day session (Day 1: 8:30 – 3:30; Day 2: 8:30 – 12:00) will build off of previous trainings and further support evaluators with high quality implementation of the Rhode Island Model Evaluation and Support System. Similar to the Model, the training is grounded in the concept affirming that teachers are the most important school-related factor influencing student achievement. During the 1.5 day workshop, evaluators will collaborate through calibration exercises, deepen their assessment literacy as it relates to SLOs, share best practices, and improve their fluency in providing actionable feedback.

Personnel that evaluate both teachers and building administrators should register for this training. Individuals that evaluate both teachers and administrators will complete an online module (and are not required to attend or register for multiple in-person workshops).

Participants will need their guidebooks and a laptop for this interactive training.  Lunch will not be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or leave to get lunch during the break.
