Abstract:

Supporting Young Children with Disabilities in Inclusive Early Childhood Settings: The IECSE Service Delivery Model & the Special Education Teacher/Therapist- Session #3

This session is provided for special education teachers, therapists, and educational leaders in the pilot and as a compliment to the session on October 28th.  All participants should attend both sessions.  The majority of the day will be dedicated to understanding the changing role of the itinerant early childhood special education teacher and therapist.  Topics will include how to embed instruction within general early childhood daily activities, the use of the matrix model in curriculum planning, adopting child-focused intervention strategies, the connection to IEP goals, and collaboration with families.    

 

We are pleased to be partnering with RIAEYC who will be providing lunch and refreshments.
