This rigorous training will provide support and resources to help ensure that new evaluators can provide our state's educators with high quality evaluations and feedback.  The focus of this training is to prepare personnel evaluating teachers and/or support professionals to accurately observe and rate practice, lead professional feedback conversations, set and approve student learning/outcome objectives, and use the Educator Performance and Support System (EPSS).  All evaluators new to the Rhode Island Model in the 2015-16 school year are required to successfully complete this academy.

Attendance from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm is required on both dates.  Because this is a condensed version of the four-day training, please note that some prework will be required.

The training location is room 445 at the Rhode Island Department of Education, 255 Westminster Street, Providence, RI 02903.  Lunch will be provided.
