This intensive eighteen-hour, five session course focuses on preparing early childhood administrators and education leaders to lead a program-wide effort to improve program quality through implementation of the RI Early Learning and Development Standards in the areas of curriculum, family engagement and child assessment. This intensive training builds upon the core elements of implementing a Standards-based program and focuses on program wide implementation, policy and management issues, support systems for staff, and the dynamics of systems change.
Participants in this course must have completed either the RIELS Level 2 or The Implementing a Standards-Based Classroom course. Content build off what was covered in the Level 2/Classrooms course. Participants in this course should have a strong early childhood background that includes a minimum of an Associate’s degree. This course is equal in difficulty to a 400 level college class.
