In the 2004-2005 school year, as Rhode Island went through a transition to a new testing system, State assessments were administered in only high schools and early-grade schools (schools whose highest grade is K or 1). Elementary schools and middle schools were not tested in the spring of 2005. These schools, therefore, will not receive a 2005 school performance classification.
Elementary and middle schools had to meet the State attendance-rate target of 90 percent. Those that met the target have made adequate yearly progress for 2004-2005; those that did not meet the attendance target did not make adequate yearly progress for 2004-2005.
The results of the two most recent years of State assessments (2003 and 2004) for this school can be seen on the 2004 School Report Card, posted at www.ride.ri.gov. This school was tested under the new State assessment system in the fall of 2005. The results will be released in the spring of 2006.
