Definition: A person who traces his or her origin or descent to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central and South America, and other Spanish cultures, regardless of race. (Note: These categories reflect the revised Standards for the Classification of Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity (Statistical Policy Directives No. 15) by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). These categories do not reflect the reporting requirements of all Department programs. See appendix L for further detail.)
