New Nutrition Standards for School Meals: 2013 Mea
Target Audience:
School District, Charter School, and State School Food Service Operators
Abstract:
This is one of several workshops scheduled in May to explain and discuss the recently announced changes in the nutrition standards for school meals and associated meal patterns. Effective on July 1, 2012, schools participating in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program will be subject to revised nutrition requirements intended to improve the health and well-being of students consuming school meals. This series of workshops are intended to explain these new requirements relative to current standards and menu planning requirements in RI.
